River Words… Ocean Possibilities

I am a River… a River of Words… Ocean Possibilities. This brief epiphany perfectly embodies my raison d’être or reason for existence. All of us, whether we realize it or not, are bodies of water lost at sea longing and searching for the myriad ocean possibilities hidden beneath the surface. Possibilities for friendships, loves, careers, families, successes, failures and all the other multi-potentialities that define the continual shifting tides of the human condition as it journeys its way through the unpredictable currents of life. Our words dictate our thoughts, our thoughts our hearts, and our hearts our actions. It is only by exploring this River of Words alongside the endless sea of human possibility found within us all, that the individual can begin to climb the mountain of self-discovery to arrive at the pinnacle of his existence – the soul.
Assuming you have read this far, perhaps it is time for us to momentarily dispense with the metaphysical gymnastics and engage in a more grounded (pun intended) self-introduction. Hello, my name is Manuel A. Luna-Murray. I am a creative wordsmith with a penchant for the world of poetry and verse. At the behest of many a family member, friend, and acquaintance I have finally decided to share my writings, in particular my poetry, with the larger world. I write in both English and Spanish although my focus is primarily the English language. As will soon become evident from my many works, I possess a number of interests that will be further explored as you, my dear reader, make your way through the labyrinthine corridors of rhyme and verse contained within these pages. At every turn, I would be most grateful and appreciative of any thoughts, images, feelings, ideas, suggestions, and insights you may be willing to share with me and everyone else. Thank you again for your time. I hope that the content you find here will serve as a catalyst for thought-provoking and inspiring dialogue as each of us explores the aforementioned mountain of self-discovery that lies within us.

Manuel A. Luna-Murray is a Lancaster poet who has lived several years in Puerto Rico and has spent many years immersed in the battlefield of the chessboard. He loves reading and writing poetry and combining the diverse features of his linguistic and cultural heritage into a picturesque portrait of life as seen through the eyes of a wide-eyed stranger. Writing in both English and Spanish his verse proclaims the trumpet of diversity as it lends itself to the eyes and ears of various groups in search of their identity. Manuel A. Luna-Murray es un poeta de Lancaster quien ha vivido muchos años tanto en Puerto Rico como en los Estados Unidos. El Ajedrecista Poeta ha luchado incontables batallas dentro del maravilloso y competitivo mundo del juego ciencia. Amante a la lectura y escritor de poesías, sus versos ofrecen un diverso deleite de manjares oriundos de su diversidad lingüística y cultural creando así un pintoresco retrato de la vida transmitido a través de la inocencia de un extranjero recién llegado. Escritor del inglés y el español, sus obras proclaman la diversa sinfonía de ojos y oídos de varios grupos en búsqueda de su identidad.

  3. Great and Excellent Writing Manuel!!! I had no idea of the Great Writing Talent Within!!! It Great to express ideas and the Ocean of possibilities that are possible when we take advantage of the opportunities that are there for us. Glad to be apart of the group of followers.
